How would this class be different if it were coed instead of all-boys?

  1. I would probably be looking around more but, it wouldn't be any different.

  2. I think that if this class was a coed class, some of the shy people wouldn't have the been able to introduce their ideas because they don't want to be ridiculed in front of girls.

  3. This class would be different if it was coed. I think in my other classes I try to impress the girls, and in this class I don't have to worry about asking dumb questions.

  4. If this class were coed instead of all boys, I think that there would be people less willing to share their thoughts.

  5. This class would be different if it were coed. If it were a coed class some things might not get done as fast. Being in a coed class helps the boys to focus on their work and for some it helps them feel more comfortable. This environment allows boys to get more work done and be more successful in their all-boys class.

  6. The class would be completely different if it were co-ed. Everyone wouldn't be as open with what they did for fear of embarrassing themselves, we would be distracted and not as many questions would be raised like jacob said because we would be worrying if we asked a stupid question.

  7. I feel this class would be different in the fact that if it was coed I would not be focused on all the activities. Its easier to make friends with a guy if you are on that it is to make friends with a girl, and that makes partner groups or partner activiies more successful in the fact that nobody is left behind bacause guys can work together and get stuff done equally, but if it was a girl and a guy,the girl would end up doing the work, of the guy would do it. So I feel that the all boys class I am in has helped my teamwork skills to learn to help out more than I did in other partner groups.

  8. I would not get as much out of it as I do now. Girls giggle and laugh too much but then again, us guys laugh around too. But we are in depth with our conversations and always do well in class.

  9. I think if this class was a coed class then there would be more viewpoints on certain issues. Girls have different perspectives, and it helps working with girls now to prepare us in the future. Chances are that we will be in a gender mixed work place.

  10. Seeing as I was in Mrs. Leclaire's coed English 10 class last semester I know the differences clearly. A few major differences were that in coed discussion it was more difficult to get the courage to express what you're thinking without thinking if it will you sound stupid. On the other hand though it is nice to have girls in your class that you can befriend and socialize with.

  11. This class would be different if it were coed instead of all boys by the fact that males and females learn differently so some of the things, like projects or reading or even free work would be different because most of the guys in my class listen to music while we work and it helps us think, and while I may not know how the female mind works, it may still prevent music from being played and slightly hindering different individuals potential.

  12. If this class was coed then i think it would be a lot different. In other classes i care what other people think of me, especially girls so i probly wouldnt be sharing my ideas as much. Also its harder to focus in a class with girls in it.

  13. It wouldn't be nearly as fun and I think it's a different way to learn. I wouldn't like girls classes cause every day there would be a problem, in an all guys class, no drama, and its way chiller.

  14. I don't think we would talk as openly as we do.

  15. I would be talking to more girls and stop talking to carlos and I would be looking around a lot more well actually depends what girls are in the class but ya

  16. I do not think that the class would function much differently. I just think that we would be less productive but we would also have perspectives from both genders during discussion.

  17. I completely agree with Reece on the fact that its just harder to be more open with girls in the class. In an all guys class its just easier to focus on the subject and be much more open with each other. But your also missing the social aspect of being in a coed class. I have found that being in a coed class first semester that my grade was lower then being in a single gender class and having a much higher grade.

  20. If this class was coed than i do not know what it would be like because it really would depend on the girls. If the girls were really loud and annoying than the class would be very distracting.

  21. I think it would be very different and it would not function the same. It wouldn't be as fun but we could have better discussions because of the different gender opinions.

  22. Going to all boys class and then a coed class is quite different because a coed class you say something that is stupid or dumb and you can get ridiculed by girls. If you say the same thing in an all boys class you won't get ridiculed.

  23. This class would be different if it was coed because then people wouldn't be themselves as much because they know girls are in the class. In an all guys class, we can be ourselves a lot easier because we don't really care what anyone else thinks about us.
